Shampoo Planets - book Report
The book I chose is Shampoo Planet, writen by Douglas Coupland. I chose to read this particular book because it was written by an author of my generation; generation X. Most books that were on the list were book written by people that were either dead or very old. They wrote about topics or themes that I could not personally relate to, so I chose Douglas Coupland because I wanted to support a young author like himself, and because I wanted to read something out of the ordinary.
Douglas Coupland was born on December 30, 1961. Helived his first four years of his life in Baden-Solling, Germany on a Canadian N.A.T.O. base. The names of his parents are Dr. Douglas Charles Thomas and Janet Coupland. He is the third son out of four in the Family.
Douglas moved to Vancouver, Canada, when he was four years old and he attended school here until he graduated at Sentinel Secondary School in 1979.
